It's our 20 year anniversary and we continue to grow.  We are forging ahead with new initiatives with the continuous quality of benefits and the supporting of health, comfort and happiness of our membership as our beacon.  We have a new website and social media to allow our membership insight and access the information they need.  We continue to advocate on our memberships behalf.

A Message from the President

President - Wayne Omardeen

Wayne is a retired member of the Peel Regional Police Service,  past President of the Peel Regional Police Association and currently the President of the Peel Regional Police Retirees Association.  Wayne is also an ambassador for the Municipal Retirees Organization of Ontario (MROO).

Vice President - Mike Tarini

After 35 years of Policing Mike is a retired Staff Sergeant with the North Bay Police Service. He was actively involved with the local Police Association and served as President for many years. He is currently the President of the North Bay Police Pensioners group. Mike is also Vice Chairman of the North Bay Roman Catholic Cemetery Board.

Secretary - Wayne Stickley

With a professional background in law enforcement, consumer and commercial banking, and automotive finance, Wayne brings a deep wealth of experience to Flamborough Connects. He has served on boards of community organizations, including the Toronto Housing Company and East Wellington Community Services, for more than three decades. Wayne moved to Flamborough in 2015 and joined the Flamborough Connects board in 2019, where he takes the lead on governance and policy issues and rules of order. He also serves as Secretary on the board of Friends of Alexander Place. Wayne is passionate about advocating for those who cannot advocate for themselves and assisting those in need and works to ensure funding is allocated to programs and resources that serve those who need them most.

Director - Brian Wintermute

Brian is a retired Police Sergeant, Peel Regional Police, with over 33 years experience in policing. He has an extensive investigation, crime prevention and a community centred background. Brian was actively involved with a number of community and work related committees. Brian completed his career overseeing the planning unit where he also conducted research, prepared and presented, detailed reports impacting service delivery, policy and operations. After retiring from policing he worked as a Senior Investigator for a large insurance company investigating life and group benefits claims. He retired from that position in 2018. Currently Brian is serving as the Secretary for a Family Council at a Long Term Care facility in London, Ontario. 

Director - John Patrick

I was a member of the London Police for 32 and a half years. Prior to that I worked for the CNR Police for about 15 months.  I was a member of the London Police Association Executive for several years and since retiring I have held the position of President of the London Police Pensioners Association.
